Hailing from the historic Baglio Soria estate in the red clay-marl hills of the Trapani countryside, Soria Perricone is a vibrant celebration of one of Sicily's most ancient and enigmatic grape varieties. Once widely cultivated but nearly lost to history, Perricone (locally known as Guarnaccia) has been passionately revived by Firriato. The estate's microclimate, characterized by beneficial maritime breezes and significant diurnal temperature shifts, coaxes out the grape's signature spicy character. Vinified with careful temperature control and aged in French oak barriques, this wine showcases a deep ruby-purple hue, offering complex aromas of dark marasca cherries, red currants, and a distinctive thread of black pepper, licorice, and Mediterranean scrub. It is a soulful red that bridges Sicily's rugged viticultural past with modern elegance.
