The Loibner Loibenberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) represents the absolute pinnacle of Austrian sweet winemaking, produced only in rare vintages when weather conditions permit the development of noble rot. The Loibenberg vineyard, a towering south-facing terrace with history dating back to 1002, acts as a natural sun trap. Warm Pannonian winds heat the amphitheater-like slopes during the day, while cool air from the northern forests flows down at night, preserving vital acidity. To craft this liquid gold, the Pichler family meticulously hand-harvests individual, shriveled, botrytized berries. The resulting wine is a monument of concentration, balancing intense honeyed sweetness with Riesling's trademark electric acidity and deep mineral structure.
