Established in Reims in 1827, G.H. Mumm is one of Champagne's most legendary houses, famous for its iconic 'Cordon' design inspired by the French Legion of Honour. While modern palates often lean dry, the Cordon Vert Demi-Sec is a luscious homage to the 19th century, an era when Champagne was traditionally enjoyed with a much sweeter profile. The 'Cordon Vert' (Green Ribbon) distinguishes this demi-sec style, which features a generous dosage of around 40 grams of sugar per liter. The blend is historically crafted with a dominant share of Pinot Meunier, prized for its roundness and intense fruitiness, supported by Pinot Noir for structure and Chardonnay for a touch of elegant acidity. Aged in Mumm's historic chalk cellars, this cuvée beautifully balances rich sweetness with a refreshing, lively finish.
