The 'Laurus' range from Maison Gabriel Meffre takes its name from the Latin word for laurel, a historic symbol of triumph and distinction deeply rooted in the Roman heritage of the Rhône Valley. This premium cuvée represents a meticulous selection of terroirs, crafted to showcase the expressive potential of Southern Rhône white varietals. Central to the Laurus philosophy is the partnership with local cooperages to develop custom 275-liter oak demi-muids. This bespoke wood program allows the wine to develop a refined, creamy texture and complex aromatic layers without overpowering the delicate floral and stone fruit characters of the grapes. Typically blending classic regional varieties such as Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette, the Laurus Blanc is celebrated for its harmonious balance of vibrant acidity, rich mouthfeel, and elegant mineral undertones.

Founded in 1936 by Gabriel Meffre and his wife Juliette in the historic village of Gigondas, Gabriel Meffre has grown into one of the Southern Rhône Valley's benchmark wineries and négociant-éleveurs.
