Crafted by the legendary Gaja estate in Piedmont, Grappa di Barbaresco represents the noble distillation of Nebbiolo pomace sourced directly from the family's historic Barbaresco vineyards. Grappa was historically a rustic, fiery spirit distilled by farmers to avoid waste, but pioneering producers like Angelo Gaja transformed it into an artisanal luxury. The fresh, moisture-rich Nebbiolo grape skins are distilled in copper alembic stills under vacuum to preserve the delicate, volatile aromas of the grape. The result is a highly refined distillate that captures the true soul of the Langhe hills, offering an aromatic profile rich with dried roses, dark cherries, herbal undertones, and a warming, elegant finish that mirrors the complexity of the great wines from which it is born.

Gaja blev grundlagt i 1859 af Giovanni Gaja i landsbyen Barbaresco i Piemonte og har siden udviklet sig til et af verdens mest berømte og visionære vinhuse.
