Hailing from the historic Frei Ranch in the heart of Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley, this robust Zinfandel represents a deep connection to California's viticultural heritage. The Frei Ranch, with its rich clay loam soils and warm, sun-drenched days tempered by cool evening coastal breezes, provides the quintessential terroir for Zinfandel. Acquired by the Gallo family to showcase single-vineyard excellence, this wine is crafted using traditional fermentation techniques and aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels. The result is a classic Dry Creek Zinfandel, bursting with concentrated blackberry, dark cherry, and characteristic cracked black pepper notes, supported by a structured, velvety finish that pays homage to the pioneering families who first planted vines in this valley.
