✨ Technical Specifications

Nestled on the steep, pink-granite slopes of the Fleurie appellation in Beaujolais, Domaine de la Madone is named after the historic hilltop chapel built in the 19th century to shield the surrounding vineyards from harm. Under the curation of the legendary Georges Duboeuf, this wine represents the pinnacle of Fleurie's elegant, floral style. Made from 100% Gamay grapes grown in the decomposed granite soils known locally as 'arene', the wine undergoes traditional semi-carbonic maceration. This process coaxes out a velvety texture and an aromatic bouquet of violets, iris, and fresh red berries, embodying the poetic and graceful heritage of the region.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1964 by Georges Duboeuf, often celebrated as the 'King of Beaujolais', Les Vins Georges Duboeuf is headquartered in Romanèche-Thorins in the Beaujolais region of France. The négociant house revolutionized the region's global profile by championing estate-bottled wines, forging deep partnerships with artisanal growers, and popularizing the annual Beaujolais Nouveau phenomenon worldwide. Managed today by the Duboeuf family, the house remains committed to expressing the nuanced terroirs of Gamay across the ten Beaujolais Crus—such as Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon, and Juliénas—alongside curated bottlings from the Rhône Valley and Pays d'Oc.
