✨ wine.spec_sheet
Crafted by the visionary Gerard Bertrand, a pioneer of the Languedoc-Roussillon wine renaissance, the Reserve Speciale Viognier is a vibrant tribute to the Mediterranean terroir of the Pays d'Oc. Bertrand, a former professional rugby player who inherited his passion for winemaking from his father Georges, has dedicated his life to showcasing the diverse microclimates of Southern France. This 100% Viognier is sourced from select coastal and hillside vineyards where the intense Mediterranean sunshine is balanced by cooling sea breezes, allowing the notoriously finicky Viognier grape to develop its signature aromatic complexity without losing its essential freshness. To preserve its delicate floral and stone-fruit character, the grapes are harvested at the cool of night and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, resulting in a wine that beautifully captures the sun-drenched spirit and wild garrigue of the Midi.
