✨ Technical Specifications
This exceptional single cask Highland single malt was distilled at the historic Glen Garioch distillery in 1797's birthplace of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. Known as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire' due to its exceptionally fertile barley-growing land, Glen Garioch has long produced a robust, honeyed spirit. This specific expression was selected by independent bottler Morrison & MacKay for their prestigious Càrn Mòr 'Celebration of the Cask' series. Distilled in 1991 and matured for 27 years in a single cask (Cask #20392) before being bottled in 2018, it represents a bygone era of Highland whisky production, showcasing a complex interplay of old-style waxy citrus, heather honey, gentle highland peat smoke, and deep, resinous oak spices acquired over nearly three decades of quiet maturation.
