The single cask releases showcase the distillery's dedication to capturing a snapshot of a single moment in time, highlighting the interplay between Glen Garioch's signature heavy, waxy, and honeyed spirit and the specific oak cask in which it matured. Historically, Glen Garioch utilized local peat and direct-fired copper pot stills, imparting a distinct, rich, and slightly smoky character to older distillates, while single casks emphasize orchard fruits, heather honey, and warm baking spices. Each single cask bottling is a rare, un-chill-filtered offering, representing the pinnacle of Highland craftsmanship and the unique microclimate of Oldmeldrum.
