Named in honor of the Manson brothers who established the distillery in 1797, Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve is a celebration of the historic Garioch region in Aberdeenshire, historically referred to as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire' due to its exceptionally fertile barley-growing lands. This Highland single malt is crafted using traditional methods, utilizing the local water source from the Silent Spring. Aged primarily in first-fill North American oak bourbon casks, it showcases the distillery's signature robust, honeyed, and malt-forward character. The absence of chill-filtration preserves its natural oils and complex textures, delivering a spirit rich with notes of sweet vanilla, butterscotch, green apple, and a warm, citrusy spice.

Established in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson, Glen Garioch (pronounced 'Glen Geery') is one of Scotland's oldest continuously operating distilleries and the most easterly distillery in the Highlands. Located in the market town of Oldmeldrum within the fertile Valley of the Garioch—historically celebrated as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire'—the distillery benefits from prime regional barley and mineral-rich water drawn from the Silent Spring of Coutens Farm. Under the ownership of Suntory Global Spirits via Morrison Bowmore Distillers, Glen Garioch underwent a transformative renovation to reinstate traditional floor maltings and direct-fired copper wash stills. This classical production architecture, coupled with a 50-hour fermentation cycle, imparts a signature robust, honeyed, waxy profile with notes of orchard fruit and warm malt cereal. Celebrated for its non-chill-filtered, high-strength releases, benchmark expressions include the flagship Founder's Reserve, the 12-Year-Old, and vintage cask-strength single malt bottlings.
