The term 'regauged' refers to the official measurement of a cask's liquid volume and alcohol strength, a crucial ritual in the maturation of Scotch whisky. Established in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson, Glen Garioch (pronounced 'Glen Geery') is one of Scotland's oldest continuously operating distilleries and the most easterly distillery in the Highlands. Located in the market town of Oldmeldrum within the fertile Valley of the Garioch—historically celebrated as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire'—the distillery benefits from prime regional barley and mineral-rich water drawn from the Silent Spring of Coutens Farm.
