Established by William Grant in 1886, Glenfiddich remains one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned. This exquisite expression is matured for eighteen years in a combination of Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and traditional American bourbon oak, drawing character from the pure, mineral-rich waters of the Robbie Dhu spring. The presentation in a beautifully decorated ceramic decanter crafted by Spode, the historic English pottery house founded in 1770, celebrates the deep heritage of both brands. Founded in 1886 by William Grant alongside his nine children, Glenfiddich stands as one of Scotland's most historically significant and enduringly independent, family-owned distilleries. Situated in Dufftown within the heart of Speyside, the distillery draws its pure, mineral-soft process water exclusively from the Robbie Dhu springs, which flow through nearby peatlands and quartz terrain. Distillation is conducted in unusually small, distinctively shaped copper pot stills, meticulously replicated down to the exact curvature of the original late-nineteenth-century vessels to preserve high ester formation. Glenfiddich was instrumental in pioneering the modern global market for single malt Scotch in the 1960s.
