Nestled in the valley of the River Fiddich in Speyside, Scotland, Glenfiddich—meaning 'Valley of the Deer' in Scottish Gaelic—was founded by William Grant in 1886. The Single Malt Rare Oak 25 Year Old is a testament to over a century of family-run distilling tradition. This exceptional expression undergoes a meticulous dual-cask maturation process, spending a quarter of a century resting in a combination of Spanish Sherry butts and American Bourbon barrels. This prolonged slumber in the damp, cool Speyside warehouses allows the spirit to absorb the distinct characteristics of both woods. The Sherry casks impart deep notes of rich dried fruits, warm spices, and gingerbread, while the Bourbon barrels introduce layers of smooth vanilla, caramelized sugar, and toasted oak. The result is a luxurious, velvety single malt that beautifully represents the classic, elegant Speyside style, steeped in the history of the Robbie Dhu spring water that has fed the distillery since its inception.

Glenfiddich blev grundlagt i 1886 af William Grant og hans ni børn og er i dag et af Skotlands mest historisk betydningsfulde og vedvarende uafhængige, familieejede destillerier.
