✨ Technical Specifications

Born from a dramatic moment of winter adversity, the Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix is a legendary Speyside single malt with a captivating origin story. In January 2010, heavy snow accumulation caused several warehouse roofs to collapse at the distillery, exposing precious aging casks to the freezing Scottish elements. In a heroic rescue effort, distillery workers labored in sub-zero temperatures to salvage the casks. To honor their resilience, Malt Master Brian Kinsman married a selection of these exposed Oloroso sherry and American oak casks, creating a unique, non-chill filtered limited release. The result is a rich, gold-hued whisky that balances creamy vanilla, honey, and vibrant apple notes with a warm, complex finish of sherry wood and light chocolate.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1886 by William Grant and constructed by hand with the help of his family, Glenfiddich Distillery is situated in the heart of Dufftown in Scotland's renowned Speyside region. Still independently owned by William Grant & Sons, the distillery made history in 1963 by pioneering the international single malt Scotch whisky category beyond traditional blended scotch. Glenfiddich crafts its spirits using the pristine waters of the nearby Robbie Dhu springs, distilling through distinctive copper pot stills and maintaining its own on-site cooperage to oversee maturation in premium American and European oak casks. Renowned worldwide for its iconic triangular bottle, the distillery produces an acclaimed spectrum of single malts characterized by signature orchard-fruit aromas, crisp green pear, delicate floral notes, and remarkable depth in its rare vintage releases.
