✨ Technical Specifications

The Glenlivet Cellar Collection represents the pinnacle of the distillery's artisanal craftsmanship, consisting of extremely limited, one-off releases selected from the most exceptional historic casks resting in the distillery's warehouses. Bottled in 2011, this rare single malt expression showcases the profound depth that Speyside whiskies can achieve when subjected to decades of patient maturation. Utilizing the mineral-rich waters of Josie's Well and distilled in the iconic lantern-shaped copper pot stills designed by founder George Smith in the early 19th century, the spirit possesses a signature bright, elegant, and floral character. Over its long sleep in hand-selected oak casks, this distillate has transformed, absorbing rich wood spices, dried fruit notes, and a complex, velvety texture. The Cellar Collection is highly coveted by collectors as a liquid time capsule of Speyside history.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Livet Valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet holds historic distinction as the first legally licensed distillery in the parish following the 1823 Excise Act. Today part of Chivas Brothers under Pernod Ricard, the distillery draws mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and employs tall, lantern-shaped copper pot stills to achieve a remarkably light and refined distillation. The Glenlivet is celebrated for setting the benchmark of classic Speyside single malt whisky, defined by a smooth, fruit-forward profile laden with orchard apples, delicate floral tones, and subtle oak, as showcased in acclaimed expressions ranging from its iconic 12 Year Old to rare editions in the Winchester and Cellar Collections.
