The Glenlivet Nàdurra First Fill Selection represents a return to the traditional, small-batch methods of 19th-century whisky making. Drawing its name from the Scottish Gaelic word for 'natural,' Nàdurra is bottled at cask strength and is non-chill filtered, preserving the full complexity, texture, and robust character of the spirit. This expression is matured exclusively in first-fill American white oak casks, which have never before been used to age Scotch whisky. These pristine casks impart rich, sweet notes of creamy vanilla, ripe pears, and soft tropical fruits to the bright, floral distillate drawn from the distillery's famous lantern-shaped copper stills. The history of Glenlivet is steeped in romantic lore, from its origins as a legendary illicit distillery hidden in the remote, misty hills of the Livet valley, to becoming the first officially licensed distillery in the parish in 1824 under the courageous George Smith.

Founded in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Livet Valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet holds historic distinction as the first legally licensed distillery in the parish following the 1823 Excise Act. Today part of Chivas Brothers under Pernod Ricard, the distillery draws mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and employs tall, lantern-shaped copper pot stills to achieve a remarkably light and refined distillation.
