Nestled on the shores of the Dornoch Firth in the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie has been crafting single malt whisky since 1843. Renowned for its towering copper stills—the tallest in Scotland, which ensure only the lightest, purest vapors ascend—the distillery is a legendary pioneer in wood finishing. This limited 13-year-old Barrel Select Release showcases their mastery of cask maturation. Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks to establish Glenmorangie's signature smooth, orchard-fruit character, the spirit was then finished in select French Cognac casks. This finishing process weaves luxurious notes of spiced fruit, toasted almonds, and elegant floral tones into the single malt, beautifully marrying Highland tradition with the refined art of French distillation.
