Meaning 'friendship' in Scots Gaelic, Companta represents a masterclass in wood finishing pioneered by Dr. Bill Lumsden. This exceptional single malt was first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a meticulous extra-maturation process. It was finished in a combination of rare casks: ultra-premium Grand Cru wine casks from Clos de Tart in Burgundy, and fortified sweet wine casks from the Côtes du Rhône region. This marriage of Scottish distillation heritage and French viticultural excellence yields a whisky of remarkable complexity, boasting notes of rich cherry, dark chocolate, and warming spices.
