Hailing from the wind-swept Highlands of Scotland, Glenmorangie's Bond House No. 1 Collection pays homage to the distillery's historic 19th-century warehouse, which was transformed in 1990 into a spectacular stillhouse. This particular expression, bottled in 2018, represents a masterfully aged single malt distilled in the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland—stills as tall as an adult giraffe, which ensure only the purest, most elegant vapors ascend to create the spirit. Nourished by the mineral-rich waters of the Tarlogie Springs and matured in select oak casks, including ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, and Burgundy casks, this whisky embodies a rich tapestry of ripe orchard fruits, warm baking spices, and a signature creamy, velvety texture. It stands as a monument to Glenmorangie's pioneering heritage in wood management and slow, patient maturation.
