Glenmorangie's 'The Tarlogan' is a captivating Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky released as part of the distillery's Legends Collection. It pays homage to Tarlogan, a legendary 3rd-century Pictish king, and the sacred Tarlogie Springs—the distillery's precious, mineral-rich water source nestled in the Scottish Highlands. Crafted using Glenmorangie's signature tall copper pot stills, which are the tallest in Scotland to ensure only the lightest and purest vapors ascend, this expression is uniquely matured in a combination of virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks. The virgin oak imparts bold, woody spices and sweet vanilla, while the ex-bourbon casks contribute classic notes of coconut, honey, and soft citrus, resulting in a beautifully balanced, multi-layered dram steeped in Highland lore.
