Hailing from the far north of Scotland in Tain, Glenmorangie is renowned for possessing the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland—reaching the height of an adult giraffe—which ensure only the lightest, purest vapors ascend to condense into spirit. The Nectar D'Or is a sumptuous expression that celebrates the art of wood finishing, pioneered by the distillery. This Highland Single Malt is first aged for ten years in ex-bourbon American white oak casks to develop its signature soft, fruity character, before undergoing a two-year secondary maturation in hand-selected Sauternes sweet wine casks from Bordeaux. This finishing process infuses the whisky with rich, honeyed dessert-like complexities, weaving together notes of lemon curd, ginger, nutmeg, and toasted almonds with a luscious, velvety texture.
