Glenmorangie is renowned for possessing the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland—standing at the height of an adult giraffe—which ensures only the lightest, purest vapors ascend to condense, resulting in an exceptionally elegant spirit. This expression undergoes a meticulous dual-maturation process: it spends its first 15 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, after which approximately 30% of the liquid is transferred into Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for an additional three years of aging.
