The Quinta Ruban 12-Year-Old is a masterclass in wood finishing, a technique pioneered by the distillery. The spirit spends its first ten years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, developing a soft, honeyed foundation. It is then transferred to hand-selected ruby port pipes from the historic quintas of Portugal for an additional two years of maturation.
