The 'Premiers Jus' cuvée from Domaine Guffens-Heynen is a masterclass in revolutionary winemaking, born from Jean-Marie Guffens' radical philosophy. Literally translating to 'first juices,' this rare bottling is crafted exclusively from the very first press run of his finest Chardonnay grapes, typically from his legendary plots in Pierreclos or Vergisson. Guffens believes this initial, gently released juice contains the highest concentration of natural acidity, vibrant mineral tension, and pure fruit expression. Produced only in exceptional vintages when the fruit achieves perfect phenolic ripeness, this cuvée defiantly bypasses traditional Burgundian classifications. It is celebrated worldwide for its monumental power, laser-like precision, and an ability to easily rival, or even surpass, the famous Grand Crus of the Côte de Beaune.

Established in 1979 by Belgian native Jean-Marie Guffens and his wife Lydie Heynen, Domaine Guffens-Heynen is located in the picturesque village of Vergisson in Burgundy's Mâconnais region. Widely regarded as a revolutionary visionary, Guffens transformed the reputation of southern Burgundy through uncompromising vineyard husbandry, rigorous manual selections involving multiple passes ('tries') during harvest, and precise, non-interventionist cellar practices. The domaine is world-renowned for crafting extraordinarily concentrated, mineral-rich, and age-worthy white Burgundies from iconic lieu-dits such as En Chavigne and La Roche in Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon-Pierreclos, regularly rivaling the finest Grand Crus of the Côte de Beaune.
