The liquid inside is Hennessy's legendary Extra Old Cognac, a category first created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his private circle of friends. This historic blend is composed of over 100 eaux-de-vie aged up to 30 years, primarily distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes harvested from Cognac's premier crus, including Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois.
