Under the rules of the 'Fine Champagne' designation, this spirit is crafted exclusively from a blend of eaux-de-vie sourced from the two finest crus of the region: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, with Grande Champagne making up at least 50% of the blend. Distilled primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes using traditional copper Charentais alembic stills, the eaux-de-vie were aged in French Limousin oak casks before being blended by the Fillioux family of master blenders. This specific 1980s bottling showcases a beautifully integrated profile of dried apricots, warm baking spices, leather, and soft rancio, offering a rare glimpse into the historic house style of the late 20th century.
