Hennessy's Master Blender's Selection No. 1 represents a highly personal chapter in the storied history of this legendary Cognac house. Crafted as a unique, single-batch creation by Yann Fillioux—the seventh-generation Master Blender—before his retirement, this expression was designed to be a completely freeform blend unfettered by the constraints of replicating a consistent house style. Sourced from the premier crus of Cognac, France, the blend comprises approximately 80 different eaux-de-vie, primarily Ugni Blanc. These spirits were aged in lightly toasted French oak casks, which impart a distinctive, vibrant character marked by bright fruit, sweet spices, and toasted almonds. Unlike traditional Hennessy releases, this limited-run bottling captures a fleeting moment of blending mastery, celebrating the deep-seated Fillioux family legacy that has guided the house since the 18th century.
