Hennessy Paradis was first created in 1979 by Master Blender Maurice Fillioux, who drew upon historical reserves of precious eaux-de-vie handed down through generations of his family. This rare 1980s bottling represents an iconic early era of the blend, showcasing spirits distilled primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the prestigious Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus of Cognac. These components were double-distilled in traditional copper Charentais alembic stills and aged for decades in Limousin oak casks housed deep within the founder's cellar, the 'Paradis.' The resulting cognac is celebrated for its exquisite silkiness, presenting a complex tapestry of dried flowers, candied orange peel, honey, and delicate spices that reflect centuries of blending heritage.
