Created in 1979 by Master Blender Maurice Fillioux, Hennessy Paradis is named after the legendary 'Paradis' cellar, the historic and sacred heart of the Hennessy estate where the oldest, rarest, and most precious eaux-de-vie are guarded. This exquisite blend represents a harmonious marriage of up to one hundred distinct eaux-de-vie, some dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These spirits are distilled primarily from grapes grown in the prestigious Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, then aged for decades in ancient French oak casks. The resulting Cognac is a masterpiece of elegance and silkiness, defined by its copper-gold hue and a complex aromatic profile of dried flowers, jasmine, honeysuckle, and warm spices, underpinned by a delicate rancio character.

Founded in 1765 by Irish officer Richard Hennessy along the banks of the Charente River, Maison Hennessy has defined the architecture and prestige of modern Cognac. Sourcing primarily Ugni Blanc across the region's elite crus—notably Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois—the house relies on chalk-dense, limestone-rich soils and a temperate maritime microclimate to achieve base wines of searing natural acidity. Double-distilled on the lees in traditional Charentais copper pot stills, the unaged eaux-de-vie mature inside fine-grained French Tronçais and Limousin oak casks, orchestrated through humid and dry aging cellars. The blending process has been shepherded across eight generations of the Fillioux dynasty, overseen today by Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and the venerated Tasting Committee.
