Deep in the windswept Orkney Islands, Highland Park has crafted legendary single malts since 1798, when the illicit distiller and church beadle Magnus Eunson ran his clandestine stills. The Orkney Single Malt 54 Year Old represents the absolute pinnacle of this heritage. Shaped by the wild, treeless maritime climate and the unique, heather-rich peat of Hobbister Moor, this extraordinary expression was originally distilled in 1968. Over more than half a century, the spirit slumbered in selected oak casks before a final finish in first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks. The result is an incredibly complex, deeply layered masterpiece whispering of sweet peat smoke, dark dried fruits, exotic spices, and the rugged Orcadian coast.
