Highland Park, established in 1798 on the windswept Orkney Islands, is steeped in Viking history and lore. Founded by the legendary smuggler Magnus Eunson, the distillery sits on a remote archipelago where trees cannot survive the fierce Atlantic gales. This unique terroir is reflected in the Hobbister Moor peat used to kiln the malted barley; being composed almost entirely of decomposed heather rather than wood, it imparts a distinctively sweet, floral, and aromatic smoke. This specific 'Full Cask' No 207 release, matured in a refill barrel, coaxes out the distillery's true DNA—balancing coastal brine, heather honey, soft peat smoke, and delicate orchard fruits in a harmonious, unadulterated expression of Orkney's rugged landscape.
