Shortly after distillation, casks of this 1977 vintage were shipped across the English Channel to age in the damp, cool, and temperature-stable cellars of Bristol. This maritime climate, vastly different from the dry cellars of Jarnac, slows down evaporation and reduces the wood's influence, allowing the spirit to retain an incredibly delicate, floral, and ethereal character.
