Hugel's Riesling Jubilee is a legendary dry white wine born from the prestigious, steep slopes of the Schoenenbourg Grand Cru overlooking Riquewihr. Originally created in 1939 to celebrate the Hugel family's tricentenary, this cuvée represents the pinnacle of Alsace Riesling. Historically, the Hugel family chose not to use the official 'Grand Cru' designation on their labels due to disagreements with the classification's boundaries, opting instead for the prestigious 'Jubilee' designation to signify their finest estate-grown fruit. The Schoenenbourg terroir, characterized by fertile marl, dolomite, and gypsum-rich clay soils, imparts a profound, crystalline minerality and intense structural power to the wine.
