Hailing from the historic Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland, Jameson's 'The Distiller's Safe' is a celebratory release from the Whiskey Makers Series. It pays homage to the physical 'spirit safe'—a copper and glass instrument used since the 19th century that allowed the master distiller to examine and select the finest cuts of the spirit run without opening the still. This unique spirit is crafted to showcase the pure, vibrant character of the distillate itself, rather than the heavy influence of oak barrels. A blend of delicate grain whiskey and robust single pot still whiskey, it is aged predominantly in seasoned ex-bourbon casks. The result is a remarkably clean, bright profile filled with aromas of fresh pear, green apple, zesty citrus, and a sweet undertone of marzipan and barley.
