While distillers have long lamented the 'Angel's Share'—the portion of bourbon lost to evaporation during aging—Jim Beam turned its attention to the 'Devil's Cut,' the rich whiskey trapped deep within the charred oak barrel walls. Using a proprietary extraction process, this intense, wood-imparted liquid is reclaimed from the barrel staves after emptying and blended with extra-aged Kentucky straight bourbon. The result is a robust, full-bodied spirit that celebrates over two centuries of Beam family heritage, delivering deep oak, vanilla, and caramel notes born from Kentucky's dramatic seasonal temperature swings.
