Julian Haart's '1,000L' Riesling is a brilliant, energetic introduction to his winemaking philosophy. Named as a playful nod to both the traditional German 'liter bottle' format—historically the thirst-quenching, everyday drinking wine of the Mosel—and the classic 1,000-liter Fuder oak casks, this cuvée democratizes cult-level Mosel Riesling. Sourced from steep, slate-rich vineyards, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. The wine beautifully captures the essence of the region's cool-climate tension, balancing vibrant, electric acidity with a delicate touch of residual sweetness and intense slate minerality. It represents a joyful, highly drinkable masterpiece crafted with the same meticulous care Julian applies to his legendary grand crus.

Established in 2010 by Julian Haart in the historic winegrowing village of Piesport, this Mosel estate has quickly risen to cult status. Having trained under legendary mentors like Klaus Peter Keller and Egon Müller, Haart applies a meticulous, hands-on approach to farming steep, slate-rich grand cru vineyards such as Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Schubertslay, and Wintricher Ohligsberg. The estate's winemaking philosophy relies on organic viticulture, spontaneous fermentation in traditional oak Fuder, and minimal intervention to preserve the natural tension and purity of the fruit. Julian Haart is globally celebrated for producing incredibly precise, mineral-driven, and elegant Rieslings, particularly his legendary, feather-light Kabinett expressions.
