The Jackson Estate Alisos Hills Viognier is a brilliant expression of cool-climate Rhone-style whites from Santa Barbara County. Nestled in the Alisos Canyon area, the Alisos Hills Vineyard benefits from a unique maritime microclimate where morning fog and cool Pacific breezes sweep through the transverse valleys. This dramatic diurnal temperature swing slows ripening, allowing the notoriously finicky Viognier grape to develop intense, complex aromatics of white peach, honeysuckle, and exotic spices while preserving its essential natural acidity. To build a luscious, velvety texture that balances this freshness, the wine is typically fermented and aged in French oak barrels, utilizing lees stirring to add richness and depth without masking the grape's exquisite floral character.

Kendall-Jackson blev grundlagt i 1982 af Jess Jackson og har siden udviklet sig til et af californisk vinavl mest velkendte ikoner, stadig drevet som en familieejet virksomhed anført af Barbara Banke.
