Kendall-Jackson's Vintner's Reserve Riesling showcases the winery's dedication to cool-climate viticulture along California's windswept coastlines. Sourced primarily from cool maritime regions like Monterey County, where the deep submarine canyon of Monterey Bay funnels cold air and fog into the vineyards, this wine benefits from an extended growing season. This unique terroir allows the Riesling grapes to ripen slowly, developing rich, concentrated stone fruit and floral aromas while preserving their vibrant, natural acidity. Crafted in an off-dry, highly approachable style, it pays homage to the traditional German heritage of the grape while expressing the sun-drenched character of California. Kendall-Jackson blev grundlagt i 1982 af Jess Jackson og har siden udviklet sig til et af californisk vinavl mest velkendte ikoner, stadig drevet som en familieejet virksomhed anført af Barbara Banke. Vingården har base i Russian River Valley med Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens i Santa Rosa og dyrker egne parceller i førsteklasses kystnære terroirs på tværs af Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Monterey og Santa Barbara County. Disse kystpåvirkede appellationer nyder godt af svalende havgus, grusholdige alluviale aflejringer og lange, rolige vækstsæsoner. Vinavlen drives efter certificerede bæredygtighedsstandarder i henhold til CCSW- og SIP-retningslinjerne.
