Kerloo Cellars' Blue Mountain Vineyard Grenache Blanc is a brilliant showcase of Washington State's potential for white Rh%f4ne varieties. Sourced from the cooler, high-elevation Blue Mountain Vineyard nestled in the foothills of the majestic Blue Mountains in the southern Walla Walla Valley, this wine benefits from dramatic diurnal temperature shifts and unique cobblestone and silt loam soils. Winemaker Ryan Crane utilizes low-intervention techniques, often fermenting and aging the wine in a combination of concrete eggs and neutral French oak. This method preserves the grape's natural high acidity while building a beautiful, textured mid-palate. The result is a wine that balances vibrant citrus and stone fruit notes with a distinct saline minerality, reflecting the rugged beauty of its high-altitude terroir.
