Sourced from the historic Upland Vineyard, perched atop Snipes Mountain in the heart of the Yakima Valley, this Grenache is a testament to one of Washington State's most unique terroirs. Upland Vineyard, farmed by the Newhouse family for generations, features steep slopes and ancient, rock-strewn soils deposited by ice-age floods. Winemaker Ryan Crane utilizes low-intervention techniques, often employing concrete fermenters and neutral French oak puncheons, to preserve the grape's vibrant, high-toned red fruit character and delicate floral aromas. This wine captures the essence of Washington Grenache: elegant, aromatic, and structurally refined, far removed from the heavy, over-extracted styles often found elsewhere.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Ryan Crane in Walla Walla, Washington, Kerloo Cellars is named after the distinctive call of the near-extinct Whooping Crane.
