Sourced from the premium, low-yielding vineyards situated along the historic Blocks Road in the southern reaches of South Australia's Clare Valley. This sub-region is famed for its unique microclimate, where warm days are tempered by cool evening breezes flowing through the valley, allowing the Shiraz grapes to ripen slowly and retain vital natural acidity. The soils here—predominantly red loam over limestone—impart a distinctive mineral edge and structured elegance to the wine. Traditionally vinified in small open fermenters and matured in a selection of French oak hogsheads, the Blocks Road Shiraz captures the essence of Clare Valley's terroir, offering a dark, spicy, and beautifully balanced expression of the variety, complete with notes of dark plums, licorice, and subtle French oak influence.
