Kilikanoon's M Reserve Shiraz is a compelling showcase of South Australian Shiraz, sourced from select low-yielding vineyards in the Clare Valley. This region is defined by its unique microclimates, where warm daytime temperatures are moderated by cool evening breezes flowing through the valley, allowing the grapes to achieve optimal phenolic ripeness while retaining natural acidity. The winemaking philosophy behind the M Reserve emphasizes traditional, hands-on techniques, including fermentation in open-top vessels and gentle basket pressing, followed by extended maturation in premium French oak barrels. The result is a wine of remarkable depth, characterized by dark berry concentration, complex savory undertones, and a refined tannin structure that reflects both the power and elegance of its terroir.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
