The 'M Reserve' Shiraz is a luxurious expression of South Australian winemaking, representing Kilikanoon's venture into the prized terroirs of McLaren Vale. While the winery is deeply rooted in the Clare Valley, winemaker Kevin Mitchell created the 'M Reserve' to capture the distinctively opulent, voluptuous, and chocolatey profile that McLaren Vale's ancient soils and maritime climate impart to Shiraz. Crafted only in exceptional vintages, the fruit is meticulously selected from low-yielding vineyards, fermented in traditional open top fermenters, and matured in a selection of fine French oak hogsheads. This results in a seamless, powerful wine that balances intense dark fruit flavors with velvety tannins and a sophisticated, lingering finish.
