Kilikanoon harnesses this unique terroir to craft their Skilly Valley Pinot Gris, a wine that beautifully bridges the gap between the fresh, crisp Italian Grigio style and the richer, more textured Alsatian Gris. The ancient soils of the valley, combined with the cooling breezes that sweep through the vineyards, allow the Pinot Gris grapes to ripen slowly, retaining their natural, vibrant acidity while developing complex stone fruit and spiced pear aromatics. Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
