The Tregea Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a benchmark expression of Clare Valley's distinctive terroir, sourced from the historic Tregea Vineyard in the high-altitude sub-region of Penwortham. This unique site features classic terra rossa soils—rich red loam over limestone—which, combined with the region's warm days and cool nights, imparts both intense fruit concentration and structural elegance. Kilikanoon crafts this reserve wine using traditional methods, including fermentation in small open-top fermenters and gentle basket pressing, before maturing the wine in fine French oak hogsheads. The result is a classic Clare Cabernet, boasting dark cassis, mint, and subtle eucalyptus notes, supported by a firm, age-worthy tannin profile.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
