Krasno Belo is a tribute to the village of Krasno, the highest-altitude settlement in the Goriška Brda region, where vineyards cling to steep, hand-carved terraces. The terroir here is dominated by 'opoka'—a poor, mineral-rich soil composed of marl and sandstone that forces the vines to dig deep for nutrients. This classic white blend harmoniously unites the indigenous Rebula, which imparts vibrant acidity and structural backbone, with Chardonnay for roundness and Sauvignonasse for delicate floral and herbal aromatics. Fermented primarily in stainless steel with a brief period of contact on the fine lees, the wine beautifully captures the cool Alpine breezes and warm Mediterranean influences that define this unique borderland.
