Grown on steep, mineral-rich opoka (marl and sandstone) soils, the grapes are hand-harvested by the cooperative's dedicated family growers. The wine undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by short aging in oak casks to soften the tannins while preserving the vibrant dark berry aromas and characteristic herbaceous notes. This approach yields a refined, approachable Cabernet Sauvignon that tells the story of Brda's unique microclimate and centuries-old viticultural heritage.

Established in 1957 as a cooperative uniting local winegrowing families, Klet Brda is the leading wine producer in the picturesque Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia, situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Working with hundreds of multi-generational families who tend steep, terraced vineyards planted on distinctive flysch and sandstone soils known locally as 'opoka', the winery seamlessly merges centuries of viticultural tradition with state-of-the-art cellar techniques.
