The Krug Collection represents the ultimate expression of longevity and the 'second life' of Krug's legendary vintage Champagnes. Kept in the house's historic cellars in Reims under the most exacting conditions, a select number of bottles from exceptional vintage years are held back to age on their lees far longer than the standard release. Over decades, these bottles develop extraordinary tertiary complexity, depth, and a completely new personality. Only when the Chef de Caves deems they have reached a new peak of expression are they disgorged, individually numbered, and released in limited quantities, often presented in an elegant wooden coffret. This process honors Joseph Krug's original 1843 vision of offering Champagnes of undisputed quality, showcasing how time can beautifully transmute the structure of Krug's oak-fermented base wines into a masterpiece of truffle, honey, and toasted brioche notes.
