The Krug Grande Cuvée 158ème Édition represents the 158th recreation of founder Joseph Krug's vision: to craft the most generous and expressive Champagne possible every single year, transcending the limitations of vintage variations. This historic edition is masterfully built around the legendary 2002 harvest, a year celebrated across Champagne for its luminous fruit and structural power. It is a spectacular blend of 120 wines from 10 different vintages, with the oldest reserve wine dating back to 1990 and the youngest from 2002. Composed of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, each individual parcel was vinified in small, seasoned oak casks to preserve its unique terroir signature. After resting for over six years in Krug's dark, chalk cellars, this edition emerged as a masterpiece of complexity, balancing fresh citrus, dried fruits, toasted brioche, and a profound, mineral-driven finish.

Founded in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the House of Krug has established itself as one of Champagne's most legendary and uncompromising names. Operating from its historic cellars at 5 Rue Coquebert, the house is celebrated for its traditional production methods, notably fermenting all its base wines in small oak casks and maintaining an unparalleled library of reserve wines to achieve extraordinary complexity. This meticulous approach yields deeply structured, age-worthy sparkling wines, ranging from the iconic multi-vintage Grande Cuvée to rare, single-vineyard masterpieces like Clos d'Ambonnay, a highly coveted Blanc de Noirs sourced from a tiny walled plot in the heart of Ambonnay.
